The vision of inception of Karaikal Campus is to endorse the comparable stream of the Central University Education to the sub urban arena of Karaikal, part of Union Territory of Puducherry which is 130 km apart from Puducherry. With no compromise the University concentrates on the need of the program and in maintaining the quality of the program. The campus holds program under School of Management , School of Engineering and Technology, School of Social Sciences, School of Mathematics, and School of Humanities.
The program list include Post Graduate program like M.B.A., M.Com., M.C.A., M.Sc., NEP program like B.B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., in Computer Science, B.Sc., in Psychology, B.Sc., in Mathematics, and B.A., in English.
In School of Management and in School of Engineering and Technology, Research Program like Ph.D is conducted as per University norms.
All academic and administrative functions of the campus are fully on to the statutes, ordinances and regulations of Pondicherry University.

The campus is situated in the heart of Karaikal town in a lush green environment with a well-furnished Boy’s hostel and Girl’s hostel with a decent mess attached cook house.
