The UGC – Human Resource Development Centre (UGC-HRDC) of Pondicherry University has been established to meet the professional training needs of the teaching community. Its primary objective is to bring Resource Persons who are experts in their respective fields to impart knowledge and create an environment for the enhancement of pedagogical and domain skills of teachers in higher education. The UGC-HRDC offers various courses such as Faculty Induction Programmes, Refresher Courses, and Short-Term Courses to enhance the advancement of knowledge of the teachers in the chosen disciplines.
The UGC-HRDC of Pondicherry University aims to widen the intellectual horizon of the participants by exposing them to leaders in the field. The University Grants Commission (UGC) of India has designed Faculty Induction Programmes (FIPs) to improve the quality of higher education in the country by providing newly appointed faculty members with the necessary training and skills to meet the challenges of teaching, research, and administration.
The HRDC-PU wishes all its participants a memorable and useful stay in the Pondicherry University Campus. By participating in the courses offered by the HRDC-PU, teachers can enhance their professional and teaching skills, which will benefit them in their academic careers.
