Faculty and research scholars are encouraged to seek assistance from the R&D cell regarding the filing of patents, copyrights, and other intellectual property issues. The R&D cell assesses the inventions and provides recommendations for their protection. Once a recommendation is received from the R&D cell, faculty and researchers may proceed to file patents through the university’s appointed attorneys. Furthermore, Pondicherry University provides financial assistance for intellectual property filings in accordance with its established guidelines.
