MoE has awarded AI Centre of Excellence for healthcare with Pondicherry University as a partner institution along with JIPMER & IIT for 2 Crores (Phase-I). Prof. S. Siva Sathya & Dr. K.S. Kuppusami, Dept. of Computer Science will be the technical lead from Pondicherry University. Vice Chancellor(i/c) Prof.K. Tharanikkarasu congratulated the team.

Prof.Clement Lourdes, Director, CCR, met Issai Gnani Illaiyaraja by a special appointment with Arun Events, the prime organisers of Illaiyaraja’s concerts. The Maestro was happy to receive the pen sketch of Dr. Clement and an exclusive picture made by him working on cotton threads. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated him for his meeting with the great musician.

The Ananda Rangapillai Library in collaboration with Elsevier organized a hybrid mode workshop (physical and Virtual) entitled “Sharpening Research Skills Using the Scopus Database” on Wednesday, 10th July 2024, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m

To create awareness among the kids about the importance of preserving the environment, the World Environment Day was celebrated at Day Care centre and Pre-Primary School on 28.06.2024. The children were inculcated on the concepts of “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable Wastes”. Dr.Rekha R.V (Coordinator, Day Care Centre &PUPPS) welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory speech on the necessity of keeping the environment clean. A demonstration act and a song were performed on the theme “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable wastes” by the teachers, staff and parents of the Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School

“An Introduction to Engineering Drawing-Traditional and Computational Approaches” by Dr. K. Karthik Selva Kumar et.al. Assistant Professor in the Department of Green Energy Technology was released by Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu Vice Chancellor, in the chamber of the VC on 27/06/2024. Prof. Clement S. Lourdes, Director Cultural and Cultural Relations graced the occasion and congratulated the authors. Dr. M. Vijayakumar, Librarian Pondicherry University and Dr. P.Thilakan, Dean Academic were present. The text book is the first of its kind based on the NEP 2020 Framework

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu along with Dean Academics made a courtesy call on Hon’ble Vice President of India & Chancellor of Pondicherry University Shri Jagdeep Dhankar at Upa Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

A group of LL.M. students specializing in Corporate Law, accompanied by PhD scholars at Pondicherry University, recently visited the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ROC) in Puducherry. Coordinated by Dr. Shyamtanu Pal, Assistant Professor, School of Law, the visit aimed to give students first hand experience with the ROC’s operations and deepen their understanding of corporate governance and regulatory frameworks

Pondicherry University signed an MoU with University of East Paris (UPEC). Dr.G.Subhalakshmi, Assistant Professor & MoU Coordinator handed over the signed Specific Mobility Implementation Convention (SMIC) to the honourable Vice-Chancellor(i/c) Prof. K.Tharanikkarasu in the presence of Prof. Subramanya Raju Dean (International Relations) and Prof.S.Victor Anandkumar, Dean (i/c) and Dr.Gurminder Kaur, Head(i/c) School of Law along with the other faculty members
