The Department of Computer Science at Karaikal Campus is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering academic excellence in the field of computing. It offers a variety of well-structured programmes to cater to diverse educational and professional aspirations. These include the Master of Computer Applications (MCA), a two-year Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science, and a four-year Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Computer Science (Honors with Research), aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). Each of these programmes is designed to provide students with strong theoretical foundations, practical skills, and exposure to emerging technologies.

In addition to its academic programmes, the department also offers a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering, available in both full-time and part-time modes. The Ph.D. programme encourages advanced research and innovation in areas such as artificial intelligence, data science, cybersecurity, and more.
