M.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering.
Computer Science is one discipline which continuously evolves in a breath taking pace. Everyday technological advancements obsoletes yesterday’s development into history. In this reverberating and happening discipline, it is important that the academia keeps pace with the multifaceted, overwhelming technological advancements and produces work force to lead and spearhead the technological growth – be it in academia, industry or research. The Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering is designed to instil and equip students with the state of the art knowledge required to be a successful human resource in either academia, industry or research careers.
Focus Areas
.
of the program
Advanced Algorithms
The advanced algorithms viz. AI-based, Evolutionary Computing based, Machine Learning and Deep Learning based algorithms, etc drive the processing of either the structured or unstructured data in automated systems. These automated systems populate the business, E-Governance, Healthcare, Finance, Transportation domains, etc to a great extent. Their ubiquity speak volumes of the advanced and indispensable characteristics of the advanced algorithms and the necessity to acquire competence to develop smart systems. Thus, it constitutes for an inevitable focus area of the M.Tech Computer Science & Engg. Programme.
Advanced Software Engineering
Software Engineering principles form the lifeline of the modern computer systems which drive the day to day businesses and execute various time critical and mission critical operations in various domains across the globe. Hence, a Computer Science engineer should necessarily imbibe the essential software engineering principles to acquire competency to plan, design, build and deploy advanced computing systems in a successful manner. This is besides the competency required to handle the technical and administrative challenges that are pervasive and inevitable in any software project. It is with this objective that the curriculum and syllabus of M.Tech CSE programme is designed.
Human Computer Interaction
The operational success of a deployed system to a great extend depends on the ease of human computer interaction aspects of the system. This requirement gets exemplified considering the various physically challenged people because each kind of physical impairment mandates a different form of interaction of the physically challenged user with the computer. Sophisticated interaction requirements viz. gesture based, eyeball movement based, etc. add further to the interaction challenges. Hence, human computer interaction know how is an essential competency which is imparted to M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering Graduates for developing systems that address the various specialized interaction requirements.
