Dr.S. Anand Lenin Vethanayagam is a Faculty in the Department of Electronic Media and Mass Communication, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India since 2010. Prior to that, he served as Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics & Media Technology, School of Electrical Sciences, Karunya University, Coimbatore, India Served as an overseas faculty of media studies in a Multi-cultural environment for around five years. Since 1997, he has been rendering commendable contribution to various media courses namely Visual Communication and Photography in general and Aerial Photography in particular. He has been serving as an effective Teacher, able Academic administrator, and Researcher for the past two decades . He has astounding work experience with a blend of industry, media, and academics; software, practical and theory with multi-cultural background. Moreover, he has contributed towards curriculum design and development of media courses for various institutions in India and abroad .

He was the Principal investigator of a research projects and Project Director, ICSSR funded research programmes, serving as research supervisor for doctoral programme and master level. He has presented research papers, chaired the sessions, led the plenary sessions in various international and national conferences, organized webinars, web contests and organizer of T3; A social media intellectual forum. Also, he has published many research papers on New Media, Educational and Environmental Communication in international and national peer-reviewed journals, published books besides being a course writer. He was instrumental in designing and developing various media courses, media labs and studios for leading educational institutions as well.
