Research Area

Maheswaran Mani is Professor in Department of Microbiology, Pondicherry University. He was awarded Ph.D. from Justus Liebig University, Germany with Magna cum laude (Very good grade) and Post-Doctoral fellowship from Stanford University, USA. He is recipient of PhD fellowship from German research foundation, German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He had received several awards, honors and is a life member of various scientific societies including Indian Immunology Society, Indian Cell Biology Society and The Society of Biological Chemists. His present research is focused on Infection-Immunity, Stem cell Biology and his lab is supported by funding agency DBT, ICMR and DST-SERB.
