Dr. B. Mohammed Jaffar Ali

About
Research Area

With Physics and Materials Science training, and having extensive post-PhD research experience in biological physics, I have identified myself a niche area in the interdisciplinary field of bioenergy and biophotonics. My research group emphasis is oriented towards translational research and entrepreneurship activities. Current research and development focus area are: (a) Developing enhanced visible light photocatalytic harnessing solar energy for self-cleansing, self-sterile material coating, biomass to energy/biofeul conversion and environmental remediation applications; (b) Biomass to bioenergy with algae as major focus. In addition, developing algal-based CO2 sequestration, air-purification systems, and bioreactors design are under progress.
