To create awareness among the kids about the importance of preserving the environment, the World Environment Day was celebrated at Day Care centre and Pre-Primary School on 28.06.2024. The children were inculcated on the concepts of “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable Wastes”. Dr.Rekha R.V (Coordinator, Day Care Centre &PUPPS) welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory speech on the necessity of keeping the environment clean. A demonstration act and a song were performed on the theme “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable wastes” by the teachers, staff and parents of the Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School

“An Introduction to Engineering Drawing-Traditional and Computational Approaches” by Dr. K. Karthik Selva Kumar et.al. Assistant Professor in the Department of Green Energy Technology was released by Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu Vice Chancellor, in the chamber of the VC on 27/06/2024. Prof. Clement S. Lourdes, Director Cultural and Cultural Relations graced the occasion and congratulated the authors. Dr. M. Vijayakumar, Librarian Pondicherry University and Dr. P.Thilakan, Dean Academic were present. The text book is the first of its kind based on the NEP 2020 Framework

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu along with Dean Academics made a courtesy call on Hon’ble Vice President of India & Chancellor of Pondicherry University Shri Jagdeep Dhankar at Upa Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

A group of LL.M. students specializing in Corporate Law, accompanied by PhD scholars at Pondicherry University, recently visited the Office of the Registrar of Companies (ROC) in Puducherry. Coordinated by Dr. Shyamtanu Pal, Assistant Professor, School of Law, the visit aimed to give students first hand experience with the ROC’s operations and deepen their understanding of corporate governance and regulatory frameworks

Pondicherry University signed an MoU with University of East Paris (UPEC). Dr.G.Subhalakshmi, Assistant Professor & MoU Coordinator handed over the signed Specific Mobility Implementation Convention (SMIC) to the honourable Vice-Chancellor(i/c) Prof. K.Tharanikkarasu.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu delivered presidential address at the inaugural session of PU Start-Up Club on 03.05.2024. Chief Guest Mr. Manish Rakode, inaugurated the event. Director (C&CR), Registrar (i/c), Dean(IR), Dr. B. Charumathi, & other officials were present.

Vice-Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu inaugurated and delivered an inaugural address on Bancquest’24 (An Industry – Interface Meet) under the theme of “Viksit Bharat@2047 – The role of Banking & Fintech at Pondicherry University

School of Law, in collaboration with Ananda Rangapillai Library, Pondicherry University, organized a 2-Day (6-7 May) Poster Exhibition dedicated to shedding light on the New Criminal Laws in India. Among the distinguished guests present was Dr. Ajit Kumar Singla, IPS, Inspector General of Police, who inaugurated the exhibition alongside with Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu, Vice Chancellor (i/c), Pondicherry University); Prof. Victor Anandkumar, Dean (i/c), School of Law; and Dr. M. Vijayakumar, University Librarian; in the presence of Prof. Clement S Lourdes, Director, (C & CR); and Dr. Gurminder Kaur, Asst. Prof. & Head (i/c), School of Law.

As a part of the Student Outreach activity, the School of Law organized a field trip to the Central Prison, Puducherry on April 30, 2024 for the students of LL.M. (Criminal Justice and Human Rights), PG Diploma (Criminology and Forensic Science), and MA SEAL (Integrated Five Year Program). The event was Coordinated by Dr. Shyamtanu Pal, Assistant Professor, School of Law.
