Our alumnus Amal Chandra, policy analyst and columnist, presented a copy of his debut book, ‘The Essential’, to Hon’ble Vice Chancellor (i/c) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu, accompanied by Dr. Nanda Kishor, Head of the Department of Politics and International Studies.

Dr. Richa Agnihotri, Research Associate-III, Indo-Swiss Joint Research Project at the Centre for Sustainability and Climate Studies, Pondicherry University, was facilitated by Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor on receiving the Young Scientist Award.

MoE has awarded AI Centre of Excellence for healthcare with Pondicherry University as a partner institution along with JIPMER & IIT for 2 Crores (Phase-I). Vice Chancellor congratulated the team.

Prof. Clement Lourdes, Director (CCR), met Issai Gnani Illaiyaraja. The Maestro was happy to receive the pen sketch of Dr. Clement. The Vice-Chancellor congratulated him for his meeting with the great musician.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (i/c) Prof K. Tharanikkarasu inaugurated and delivered a presidential address on “Literacy Forum on Children Literature” organized by the Subramania Bharathi School of Tamil Language & Literature in association with Sahitya Akademi.

The Department of English at Pondicherry University unveiled its inaugural literary journal titled “Women, Environment and Society: Literary Perspectives.” The special issue was officially released by Vice-Chancellor Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu and received by Prof. Clement S. Lourdes, Director (CCR). Prof. P. Thilagan, Dean of Academics and Prof. T. Marx, Head of the Department were present.

The Ananda Rangapillai Library in collaboration with Elsevier organized a hybrid mode workshop (physical and Virtual) entitled “Sharpening Research Skills Using the Scopus Database” on Wednesday, 10th July 2024, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m

To create awareness among the kids about the importance of preserving the environment, the World Environment Day was celebrated at Day Care centre and Pre-Primary School on 28.06.2024. The children were inculcated on the concepts of “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable Wastes”. Dr.Rekha R.V (Coordinator, Day Care Centre &PUPPS) welcomed the gathering and gave an introductory speech on the necessity of keeping the environment clean. A demonstration act and a song were performed on the theme “Biodegradable and Non-Biodegradable wastes” by the teachers, staff and parents of the Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School

“An Introduction to Engineering Drawing-Traditional and Computational Approaches” by Dr. K. Karthik Selva Kumar et.al. Assistant Professor in the Department of Green Energy Technology was released by Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu Vice Chancellor, in the chamber of the VC on 27/06/2024. Prof. Clement S. Lourdes, Director Cultural and Cultural Relations graced the occasion and congratulated the authors. Dr. M. Vijayakumar, Librarian Pondicherry University and Dr. P.Thilakan, Dean Academic were present. The text book is the first of its kind based on the NEP 2020 Framework
