UCO Bank Chennai Zone has constituted an award viz., ‘UCO Rajbhasha Samaan’ for meritorious students of M.A. Hindi from 2019 every year. Recipients for 2020 Ms. Abhirami CJ & Ms. Sriyashree Sahoo were felicitated with mementos & cash awards on 30.03.2021.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, was awarded with “UCO G.D. Birla Award” for his par excellence contributions to Science and Academics. UCO Bank, Chennai Zonal Head Shri K. Ramesh conferred the award in a brief ceremony at Puducherry on 30.03.2021.

VC releases 2 book entitled 1. “Impact of Covid-19 on Global Society Challenges & Way Forward” 2. “Mahatma Gandhi Vision: Sustainable & Human Development”, edited by Dr Suresh Vadranam & Dr Ajeet Jaiswal along with Prof. P. Moorty which has brought out by Avon Publisher, New Delhi.

Prof. R. Kichenamourty, former, Head of the Dept. of French, Pondicherry University was honoured with the highest French Civilian Award
