Pondicherry University observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2021: ‘Independent India@75: Self Reliance with Integrity’ on 26.10.2021. Vice-Chancellor, Faculty, Officers and Staff of Pondicherry University taken pledge during the session.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, congratulated Dr. T. Shanmuganatham, Associate Professor, Dept. of Electronics Engineering for receiving “International Researcher Award-2021” from International Research Association, England, (UK) Organized Award Ceremony through Virtual Mode on 19.09.2021.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh laid the foundation stone at “Bhoomi Pooja Ceremony” on 27.09.2021, for construction of new Quarters Building. Director (SEI&RR), Director (C&CR), Registrar i/c, Finance Officer i/c, Executive Engineer i/c & other official were present.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh laid the foundation stone at “Bhoomi Pooja Ceremony” on 27.09.2021, for construction of new Animal House Building. Director (SEI&RR), Director (C&CR), Registrar i/c, Finance Officer i/c, Executive Engineer i/c & other official were present.

Consul-General of Japan Mr.TAGA Masayuki along with Culture Head Ms. Miyuki Inoue called-on Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh on 17.08.2021 to discuss the Japanese Language Studies in PU. Also a brief interaction with all Deans/HoDs/Centre Heads, was held during his visit.

Hon’ble Vice-President of India & Chancellor of Pondicherry University Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, inaugurated 2.4 MWp Solar Power Plant at Pondicherry University on 13.09.2021. Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry & Chief Rector of Pondicherry University Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Puducherry Shri N. Rangasamy, Hon’ble Speaker Shri. Embalam R . Selvam and other dignities were present.

Australian Consul General to South India Ms. Sarah Kirlew called on Prof. GurmeetSingh, Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University on 16.09.2021, as courtesy call.

Vice-Chancellor Prof.Gurmeet Singh paid homage to the legendary poet and freedom fighter ‘Mahakavi Bharathi’ Subramania Bharati on his 100th Death Anniversary.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh laid the foundation stone at “Bhoomi Pooja Ceremony” for construction of new Girls Hostel on 03.09.2021. Director (SEI&RR), Registrar, Civil Consultant, Faculty, Officers & Staff were present during the ceremony.
