Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated “Monthly Seminar Series” organised by School of Life Sciences. Prof. Gurmeet Singh welcomed the Resource Persons and gave a presidential address to the participants.

MoU signing ceremony between Pondicherry University and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) held on 18.10.2022 at the Council Hall of Pondicherry University. VC, Director (SEI&RR), Registrar, FO, Dean (IR), Faculty & Staff of PU were present during the ceremony.

Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Gurmeet Singh, congratulated Dr.A.Subramania, Professor-Centre for Nanoscience and Technology, for receiving the prestigious ACT- Prof. Pinki B Punjabi Award with cash prize for his outstanding Research contribution in Chemical Sciences for 2022 in the National Convention of Chemistry Teachers of India held recently at Indore.

Inauguration ceremony of “Synergistic Training Program Utilizing the Scientific & Technological Infrastructure” held on 17.10.2022 at the Dept. of Earth Sciences, PU. The programme was organised by CIF-PU and supported by DST, MST, GoI in collaboration with Shivaji University.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated the Distinguished Lecture Series on “Chemical Crystallography in Research and Teaching” delivered by Prof. Nigam P. Rath, Research Professor, Dept. of Chemistry & Biochemistry, University of Missouri, USA on 13.10.2022 at J.N. Auditorium, PU.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the International Conference on “Constructivism in Teaching and Learning in the context of Formal and Distance Learning -2022″ jointly organised by Pondicherry University DDE & School of Education on 13.10.2022 held at CCC.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated International Conference on “Antimicrobial Resistance & Microbiome under changing climate” organised by Dept. of Microbiology & Centre for Environment Policy & Dept. of Infectious Disease and Immunity, Imperial College, London, U.K. on 11.10.2022 @ PU.

Educational Literature for students centered program ‘Conserving Fauna of Concern’: Peacock,Mongoose, Monitor Lizard,Pondicherry Shark, Honey Bee,Sparrow, Ridley Turtle & Cobra, handed over to Hon’ble VC, by Dr.M.Nandhivarman, Coordinator & Dr. Golda A.Edwin, Executive Director, APSCC.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated the International Conference on “Tamil Charities of Tamil Scholars living in memory” on 05.10.2022. The conference was jointly organised by Subramania Bharathi School of Tamil Language & Literature & World Tamil Cultural Movement, London.

Department of Ecology & Environmental Sciences of Pondicherry University celebrates “Wildlife Week – 2022” from 05th – 7th Oct. 2022. As a part of celebration, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp and delivered inaugural address.
