As a part of Swachhata Pakhwada, Pondicherry University has conducted the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in the hostel’s zones. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu, Director (SEIRR), Prof. Rajeev Jain, OSD (CCR), Prof. Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar, Prof. D. Lazar, Finance Officer, Faculty Members, Officers, Non-Teaching Staff, Volunteers are participated and cleaned the hostels & quarters zones.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the Marine Geophysics Lab and Landslide Modelling Lab for the Department of Coastal Disaster Management, Port Blair Campus

Hindi transcreation of eminent Sambalpuri-Kosli poet Haldhar Nag’s (‘Padmashree’) epic ‘Prem Pehachan’ rendered by Shri Dinesh Kumar Mali was released by Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Honourable Vice Chancellor of Pondicherry University.

Subramania Bharathi ‘s 102nd Memorial Commemoration Lecture-cum-Seminar was organised by Subramania Bharathi Chair in School of Tamil on 11.09.2023. Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC garlanded Subramania Bharathi’s Statue and paid his tributes.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC delivered a presidential address in a distinguished lecture by Lt. General Vinod G. Khandare, on Comprehensive National Power & Security of India & launched the book of Reimagining India in the Geopolitics of the 21st Century authored by Dr. Nanda Kishor M S, Associate Professor, Dept of Politics & Int. Studies.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor Cum Chairman (DCC & PPS), Pondicherry University inaugurated the “Onam Celebrations 2023” organised by the Day Care Centre and Pre-Primary School on 08.09.2023 and delivered the Presidential address.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh congratulated Dr. S. Mohane Coumar and Prof. A. Dinakara Rao, Dept. of Bioinformatics, PU for securing a reputable Indo- Taiwan R&D project from the DST, Govt. of India.

Pondicherry University signed an MoU with Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry on 29.08.2023. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh chaired the session. Deans of Schools, Heads of the Departments, Faculty, Staff and Student participated in the ceremony.
