Ph.D. Hindi
Ph.D. Hindi Research programme is designed for the aspiring Research Scholars with Hindi language and literature background and interest and curiosity about the problems of scholarship of literature, theory, various discourses and interdisciplinary research of national interest, contemporary relevance and emerging knowledge areas.
Student with strong aptitude of research and strong background in one literature and studied literature of their mother tongue or any other language will be nurtured in carrying out research in comparative studies.
Those who have completed M.A Hindi with 55 % marks or Equivalent grade are eligible to join research programme in Hindi. Those with M.Phil. qualification can complete the research work in a minimum period of two years and submit their thesis. Those with M.A can complete with in a minimum period of 3 years and maximum period of 5 years.
Research Scholars joining with M.A. Qualification have to complete the course work in their first year and appear for the qualifying examination. Ph.D. Part-time/External is also offered for those who are in service. Ph.D. Regulations of Pondicherry University may be referred for more details and applicable rules of the Research programme.
