Students awarded with an M.Sc Physics (2 Yr or Integrated 5 yr) degree:
Will be able to take up teaching Physics at higher secondary, B.Sc. and M.Sc. levels at Schools, Colleges and Universities.
Will be able to do research in R & D institutes and Universities in experimental, theoretical and computational Physics.
Will be able to analyze the scientific discoveries and communicate the same in lucid language to common people by taking to Science Journalism.
Will be able to serve in experimental and computational R & D department of Industries.
Will be able to serve in scientific positions of Govt. departments such as CSIR, DAE, ISRO, DRDO, IAF/Naval academy etc.
Will be able to go abroad for research studies and bring back the rich research experience.
Will be able to compete nationally and internationally with students of similar qualification for research and academic positions.
Will be able formulate hypothesis, conduct investigation and test the hypothesis in any problem involving Physics.

Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in Physics with Mathematics and
Chemistry as ancillaries and a minimum of 55% of marks
The question paper will consist of 100 multiple choice questions. M.Sc. (Physics) the questions are from all the Physics and basic Mathematics subjects of Under-graduate/B.Sc degree with Physics as main and Mathematics and Chemistry as ancillaries.
