M.B.A. Data Analytics
The MBA is a two-year regular programme of the Department of Management Studies, School of Management, Pondicherry University offered since 2019. With 4 batches, it has gained strength in terms of its market standing. The current sanctioned strength is 50 seats based on PG-CUET scores. If offers specialisation in domain knowledge in the functional areas of management such as Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Operations & Systems and use of data analytical tools for decision making. It orients students on foundation courses on business, core functional areas of management and basic data analytical tools in the first year and provides application-oriented elective courses in the second year. Two eight-week major projects ensure hands-on experience in the industry. Besides, they interact with experienced and cherry-picked corporate professionals through industry interface program which is part of curriculum. Besides, they attend invited guest lectures (DMS Talk Series by alumni, academic experts and industry experts both National and International), go for industrial visits, participate in management meets and seminars. SYNAPTIC, an annual Industry Institute Interface Event, trains the students on their organisational and leadership skills and gives them an opportunity to update themselves about the current industry practices. MILAN, an annual Alumni Day gives vistas to interact with alumni network, who occupy very high and coveted positions in industry, government and academia in India and abroad. Highly qualified and experienced faculty members guide students and motivate them to shine as all-rounders which attracts top core manufacturing, service, IT, banking, insurance, retail companies among others visit campus for placements.
Eligibility criteria: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.
