Research Area

I am a disaster management specialist with a decade of experience working on real-world issues. My research area includes applications of cutting-edge technologies such as GIS, Remote Sensing, Big Data Analytics, and Web-based technologies in Hazard, Vulnerability, and Risk Assessment and Disaster Risk Reduction. I have 20 publications, 2 ongoing research projects and 15 invited talks/conference presentations. I also worked in various State Disaster Management Authorities, National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management, Regional Integrated Multi-hazard Early Warning Systems for Africa and Asia (RIMES) and Asian Development Bank.
