Mohemmed Rafi Ahmed, has completed his M.A. and Ph.D. in Public Administration from Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad. He has completed his BA degrees in Public Administration, Economics, and Literature from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad and has qualified for UGC NET and APSLET in Public Administration. He was an awardee of the ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship for the pursuit of a Ph.D. He has presented many research papers at national and international conferences and seminars.

Mohemmed Rafi Ahmed’s doctoral research evaluated the impact of the Political representation of Muslims in the Urban local bodies on the Political participation of Muslims in general and services provide by the local government in the Muslim locality. Further the influence of different factors such as Economic status, education, and occupation among others, on the chances of upward political mobility in the Muslim community.

Mohemmed Rafi Ahmed taught Public Administration and Indian Polity for one and half years at Civil Service Academy, in Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad, before joining DACE at Pondicherry Central University. Earlier he taught Social Science subjects for the Civil Service batches at Sri Chaitanya Institutions for more than 6 years.
