About
Research Area

Dr. Sudesh Pundir has completed M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D in Statistics, from Panjab University, Chandigarh. Teaching and research are my passion. My research is mainly focussed on Distribution Theory, Statistical Inference and High dimensional data analysis. I apply proposed theory to Reliability and life testing problems, Survival analysis and Biostatistics. I have worked as visiting Assistant Professor in Northwestern University, Chicago, USA. I have received Best Teacher Award in 2018 and 2019. I have more than 20 years of experience. I have served for 8 years as Hostel Warden, Deputy Chief Warden and Chief Warden for Girls Hostels. 3 Ph.Ds are completed under my supervision and at present, 2 research scholars are continuing their Ph.D. I have published 37 research papers and also completed one UGC Major Research Project. I have extended many other administrative duties along with academics.
