Dr. Ragupathy Dhanusuraman is working as a Professor in Central Instrumentation Facility (CIF), School of Chemical, Physical & Applied Sciences, Pondicherry University, INDIA. Previously, he worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry, National Institute of Technology Puducherry, Karaikal (2013-2023). Also, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Department of Chemical System Engineering, Keimyung University, Daegu, South Korea (2012). Between 2010 and 2011, he pursued as Postdoctoral Fellow and Post-Doctoral Researcher at Kyungpook National University & Pusan National University, South Korea. He received his doctoral degree in Chemistry from Kyungpook National University Daegu, South Korea (2009). His areas of research include Electrochemistry, Nanomaterials & Energy

He has >113 Peer-reviewed International Journals, 4 Patents, 5 Book-Chapters and more than 60 papers in Conference Proceedings. He has been awarded a number of distinctions, such as “Young Scientist Award – 2014” from Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi. Also, “Best Performer Awardee – 2022 & 2021” from NIT Puducherry, Karaikal. Besides, he has received Best Paper Award – 2008 from Brain Korea 21.

He has guided seven PhDs and several M.Sc students. He has close collaboration with Australia, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, China, Malaysia and Taiwan. Currently, his total citation is 3281 with h-index: 31. Furthermore, he has received research funds from Department of Science & Technology and Science & Engineering Research Board, New Delhi, Govt. of India for his research projects. He has visited different counties such as South Korea, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia as a Visiting Professor.

During his tenure at National Institute of Puducherry Karaikal, he has served in different administrative and academic position such as Registrar (In-Charge), Board of Governors (BoG) – Member, Senate – Member, Dean (Faculty Welfare), Associate Dean (Research & Consultancy), Head of the Department (Chemistry & Science and Humanities), Advisory Committee on Faculty Recruitment (ACoFAR) – Member and Liaison Officer – SC/ST/OBC Cell.

He is a life fellow member in various societies such as Royal Chemical Society, Materials Research Society of India, American Nano Society, Chemical Research Society of India, The Society for Advancement of Electrochemical Science and Technology, and The Korean Society of Analytical Science and Technology.
