Dr.A.Lakshmi Duttai Assistant Professor of Tamil, is an alumni of Pondicherry University. She earned her five years integrated M.A., degree in Tamil from Pondicherry University. She earned her Ph.D from Tamil University , Thanjavur through Pondicherry Institute of Linguistics and Culture. She has completed her Post Doctorate Research at Central Institute of Classical Tamil, Mysuru. She is holding Post Graduate Diploma in Anthropology also. Her decade long teaching career spans from 2001 to 2022, and she has worked as Lecturer in KanchiMamunivar Centre for Post Graduation Studies, Pondicherry and Tagore Art &Science College , Pondicherry. From 2007 to 2022 She Served as Assistant Professor at Pondicherry University Community College.
She received prestigious Young Scholar Award from the Hon’ble President of India in 2012 and she is a recipient of the Young Research Scholar Award from Government of TamilNadu. Also, she is a recipient of Best Women Achiever Award for her contribution towards women Self Help Groups.
She has published 70 Research Papers, 8 Books . Also, she has edited 6 Books And to her credit, she has accomplished one Minor project through Central Institute of Classical Tamil, Chennai.
Her multi disciplinary research interest includes Comparative Literature and Anthropology.
Extending her interest beyond academic domain, she has been working on Primacy of education, Life skills, Skill development for adolescent Students – Girl Students in particular, for the past 20 years.
