Awarded gold medals in Ist year, second year and third year of graduation, University first prize in post-graduation, and Young Social Scientist Professor Radhakamal Mukerjee award and secured UGC NET-JRF in debut, Dr. K Gulam Dasthagir is acclaimed for his customized teaching, field-based research guidance, and expertise in academic counselling, sensitization, and capacity building. Prof. Dasthagir’s pioneering research in Sociology of Water and Gender and his 26 years of teaching is lauded with the Best Teacher Award of Pondicherry University, Best Employee Award of Govt. of Tamil Nadu (Twice), Outstanding Employee Award of Govt. of Puducherry, Outstanding Faculty Award, Youth Merit Award, Best Social Researcher Award, Best Research Paper Awards, Outstanding Personality Award and Alumni Achievement Award.
