Prof. K.E. Dharaneedharan, born on May 27, 1960, is a distinguished scholar and professor in the Department of Sanskrit at Pondicherry University. With expertise in Nyฤya, Mฤซmฤแนsฤ, Sarvadarลana, Advaita Vedฤnta, and Viลiแนฃแนญฤdvaita Vedฤnta, he has been active in teaching and research since 1988. His doctoral research focused on the Prabhฤkara school, titled โA Critical Study of Theories of Prabhฤkara School Discussed in Tattvacintฤmaแนi.โ
Started as a Lecturer on 13.10.1998 till 09.08.2002 at Banaras Hindu University and joined as a reader 14.08.2002 in Pondicherry University and also promoted Associate Professor and Professor in same university, He has held various academic and administrative roles at Pondicherry University, including Head of the Department, member of academic council , Member of Court, Member of b Board of Studies and Coordinator for Hindi Cell and Official Language initiatives. He has guided 43 Ph.D. and 13 M.Phil students, authored one book, published over 60 research articles, and presented in 150 seminars ( National and international) .
Awards: His exemplary scholarship and teaching have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Vedapandit Puraskar (Uttar Pradesh Sanskrit Sansthan, 1991), Vipaschin Mani (Srimat Poundarikapuram Andavan Ashram, 2003), Vidvanmani (Hayagriva Vidyapeetha, 2003), Shastraratnakara (Srimad Andavan Ashram, Trichy, 2005), Yuvavipaschit (Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, 2007), and the Best Teacher Award from Pondicherry University (2014-2015), which he has received three times in recognition of his outstanding dedication to education.
