About
Research Area
I received Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Annamalai University, India, and pursued postdoctoral fellowships at Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, India, offered by DSK-UGC Scheme. Also, I visited at Hospital of Maisonneuve Rosemont, affiliated with the University of Montreal, Montreal, Canada, for a postdoctoral fellowship. My doctoral study investigates molecular mechanisms of UV radiation-mediated skin inflammation, photoaging, and skin cancer and its countermeasures. Also, I significantly contributed to cancer multidrug resistance in cancer cells. My postdoctoral work investigated the codelivery of small molecules with chemotherapeutical drug-loaded liposomes to improve the chemotherapy in triple-negative breast cancer cells and tumor xenograft models. My long-term goal is to identify the binding partner that regulates base excision and nucleotide excision repair during the chemotherapeutics-mediated DNA damage in cancer cells.
