Dr. Arunkumar Dhayalan

About
Research Area

Dr. Dhayalan completed his PhD in 2009 with special distinction from the Jacobs University, Germany under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Albert Jeltsch. He joined Pondicherry University as Assistant Professor in the year 2010. In Pondicherry University, Dr. Dhayalan is working in two major areas viz. (i) Histone arginine methylation mediated epigenetic signalling and (ii) Functional characterization of DEAD box family of RNA helicases. His lab has been funded by DBT, UGC, CSIR, SERB-DST and BRNS. He has published more than 30 research articles in well-reputed journals. Dr. Dhayalan holds Associate Editorship in the research journal “BMC Biochemistry”.
