I am Dr A. Srinivasan, M.E., PhD, and I am currently serving as a Professor in the Department of Computer Science, PUCC, Pondicherry Central University, Puducherry, India. I have 33 years of teaching and research experience in Computer Science and Engineering faculty. Over this period, I have served as a professor for 22 years and as Professor and Head of the Computer Science and Engineering departments at various colleges in Anna University, Chennai, for more than 16 years.
I hold two doctoral degrees. I completed my first PhD in the Computer Science in the Department of Electronics at the Madras Institute of Technology, Chromepet, Anna University, as a full-time scholar in 2000. I completed my second PhD in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, as a part-time scholar in 2014. I also completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the School of Electrical Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. In addition, I hold an MBA [Finance], PGDFM, and a Diploma in Finance Management.
My academic and research career includes experience at MIT, Anna University, Chennai; Sri Krishna College of Engineering, Coimbatore; SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai; and MNM Jain Engineering College, Thoraipakkam, Chennai, where I served as a Senior Professor and Head in the Information Technology Department where the department achieved successful results under my leadership.
During my tenure at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai, I handled the Carnegie Mellon University, USA, M.S. in Software Engineering degree courses for M.S. in Information Technology students in the SSN School of Advanced Software Engineering (SSN SASE).
With my academic, research, and administrative experience, I also served as Principal of MNM Jain Engineering College for about 15 months. I contributed to several of the institution’s achievements during that period. As an active academician, researcher, and administrator, I am a recognized PhD supervisor at Anna University’s Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering. I have supervised five PhD scholars, four of whom were in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering at Anna University, Chennai. I am also a Ph.D. supervisor at JNTU, Hyderabad, where I have supervised one Ph.D. scholar in Computer Science and Engineering. At present, I am guiding Seven Ph.D. scholars in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Pondicherry University, Puducherry.
I have published 70 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. I have also authored the book Cloud Computing – A Practical Approach, published by Pearson International and circulated worldwide.
My research contributions also include intellectual property. One of my patents has been accepted by the Indian Patent Office, and the Australian Patent Office has accepted Five international patents. I have also served on research boards, syllabus-framing committees, and governing councils at several universities and colleges across India.
In recognition of my research contributions, I was selected as a Senior Member of IEEE in 2019. I am also a member of the Computational Intelligence Society. I have been a Senior Member of ACM since 2019 and a life member of CSE and IETE.
