Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC hoisted National Flag & delivered 74th Republic Day address.

Shri Krish Ponnusamy , Former Chief Executive Officer, Govt of Mauritius visited our university and met our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh on 23.1.2023.

PU organised G20 University Connect: A Special Lecture on “Indian Presidency of G20” by Dr. Seshadri Chari, Member, Governing Council, RIS, New Delhi followed by remarks of Air Marshal Dr. M. Matheswaran, AVSM VM(Retd), Chairman & President, The Peninsula Foundation, Chennai.

Hon’ble VC Prof. Gurmeet Singh congratulated Dr. B. Charumathi, Professor & Head, Dept. of Management Studies, who is adjudged as the Winner of 1st Gurushreshtha Award 2022 in Management category by ICSI with Rs.50,000 cash prize, citation and trophy.

Celebration of Pongal on the occasion of Pongal Festival at our Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School on 11.01.2023. Prof. Gurmeet singh, VC has been invited as Chief Guest for the celebration.

Department of Hindi, Pondicherry University celebrated World Hindi Day on 10.01.2023 at Ananda Rangapillai Central Library of Pondicherry University. Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC lighted the kuthuvilakku and inaugurated the programme.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated & delivered presidential address for the Special Lecture on “Choose Carer, Not Fear” by Ms.Canny Gogia, Career Coah, Author, Motivational Speaker, Corporate Trainer. The programme is organised by the School of Social Sciences & International Studies

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC issued MACP & DPC orders to various Officers & Staffs of the University. A slew of welfare measures are in the pipeline.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC inaugurated “Five Day International Workshop cum Faculty Development Programme on Historical & Linguistic Development of Hindi Language from Apabhramsa to Early Hindi: A Research Perspective” on 02.01.2023. The programme was organised by the Dept. of Hindi.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC chaired a Special Lecture on “Ancient India through classical Texts: Society, Morals, & Politics” organised by IGNCA, Regional Centre, Pondicherry & Department of History, Pondicherry University held on 23.12.2022.
