Distinguished Lecture on “Social Responsibility of Science and Higher Education” delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Virander S. Chauhan (Rhodes Scholar), Former Chairman of UGC and NAAC, at J.N. Auditorium of Pondicherry University on 06.04.2023.

The Centre for Women’s Studies and the NSS unit of Pondicherry University, Puducherry organized a three days Sensitization Programme in collaboration with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur on “Youth Leadership Development & Social Justice” from 11-13 March, 2023 at the School of Management auditorium, Pondicherry University.

Prof. (Dr.) Virander S. Chauhan (Rhodes Scholar), Former Chairman of UGC and NAAC, met Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, at his office during his visit to Pondicherry University on 05.03.2023, for delivering lecture on “Social Responsibility of Science and Higher Education”

High Commissioner of Malta to India H.E. Reuben Gauci called on Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University Prof. Gurmeet Singh at his office on 01.04.2023, as a courtesy call.

The Department of Tourism Studies organised jointly with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) an awareness campaign on Standardisation on 15.3.2023. The campaign was flagged off by Prof.Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar, Pondicherry University. Dr.R.C.Anu Chandran, Head of the Department welcomed the guests, delegates, faculty, scholars and students and presented the message of collaboration with BIS.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the seminar on “Celebrating the Life & Philosophy of Sri Aurobindo” on 28.03.23. As a part of the event, VC launched a book titled “Sri Aurobindo: An Extraordinary Phenomenon” and unveiled photographs of Sri Aurobindo and Mother.
