Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh delivered the Presidential Address in the inaugural session of the ‘Five Days Faculty Development Programme on Psycho-social Care in Disaster Management’ for the Social Work Educators of South India organized jointly by the Department of Social Work, Pondicherry University and the National Institute of Disaster Management, New Dehli on 6th November, 2023. Sri.E.Vallavan,IAS, District Collector of Puducherry, Dr.Ajinder Walia, Head, GIDRR Division of NIDM, Prof.B.B.Mohanty, Dean, SSS&IS, Prof.K.Anbu, Head(i/c), Department of Social Work and Dr.P.B.Shankar Narayan, Coordinator of the FDP were present during the programme.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC released a book titled “Interdisciplinary Art-Based Practices – Problems and Possibilities” edited by Dr. K. R. Rajaravivarama, Associate Professor, School of Performing Arts, PU. Dean, SoPA and faculty of the school were present during the release.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh inaugurated and delivered presidential address on the International Conference on Special Functions & applications & Symposium on Algebra & Algebraic Combinatorics organized by Department of Mathematics.

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, VC has unveiled Shilphalakkam, inaugurated Memorial Lawn Amrit Vatika & flag-offed Amrit Kalasha Yatra. He also planted tree at Amrit Vatika & poured maati in the Amrit Kalasha

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice Chancellor congratulated the Faculty Members Prof. Anu Chandran, Head, Department of Tourism Studies and Prof. Sampada Kumar Swain, MoU coordinator for being selected as part of ERASMUS Mobility Program to participate in the Blended Intensive Program- Innovative Teaching Methods and deliver talks at Vidzemme University of Applied Sciences, Latvia.
