Hon’ble Vice Chancellor cum Chairman (Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School) Prof. Gurmeet Singh inaugurated the Vegetable Garden on the premises of the Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School in the presence of the special invitee, Prof. Gurmeet Kaur (Wife of Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice–Chancellor, Pondicherry University) on Gandhi Jayanti (02.10.2023), and named the inaugurated garden as “Bapu Garden”.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof Gurmeet Singh appreciated Dr Nanda Kishor M S, Public Relations Officer and his team for exemplary coordination of 7 events on 2nd October 2023.

In a significant step towards forging a robust industry-academic collaboration, Pondicherry University, Puducherry and MSME Technology Centre, Puducherry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).The collaboration intends to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and its practical application by providing students with certification courses, in-plant training (internships) at a concessional rate, and complete access to the laboratories and library during their respective courses of study.

Inaugural Ceremony – Centre for Sustainability and Climate Studies

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor and Madam Prof. Gurmeet Kaur planted tree saplings at Convention-cum-Cultural Complex on 02.10.2023 as a mark of celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi ji, our Father of our Nation. The event has been organised by the Horticulture Wing of PU.

As a part of Swachhata Pakhwada, Pondicherry University has conducted the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign in the hostel’s zones. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh, Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu, Director (SEIRR), Prof. Rajeev Jain, OSD (CCR), Prof. Rajneesh Bhutani, Registrar, Prof. D. Lazar, Finance Officer, Faculty Members, Officers, Non-Teaching Staff, Volunteers are participated and cleaned the hostels & quarters zones.
