Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu paid floral tributes to Babasaheb Dr. B R Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas at Administrative building today. During this occasion Director (CCR) Prof. Clement Lourdes, Registrar (i/c) Prof Rajneesh Bhutani, Finance Officer (i/c) D. Lazar, Other Statutory Officers, Deans of Schools, Heads of Departments, Faculty members, Officers, Staff and Students were present.

Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu inaugurated & delivered the presidential address on Third Annual Residential Workshop, Climate Change & Conflict I SDGs I Contemporary Conflicts at Pondicherry University.

Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu inaugurated & delivered the presidential address on Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas – Tribal Pride Day 2023 celebrations organized by the Department of Anthropology in collaboration with Dean-Students Welfare.

Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu inaugurated & delivered the presidential address on the one day workshop on “Material Characterization using XRD & Particle Size Analyzer by the Department of Green Energy Technology.

Vice-Chancellor (Officiating) Prof. K. Tharanikkarasu had a meeting with Faculty members and Non-teaching staff of the University.

Prof. Clement Lourdes Sagayaradja, Director, Directorate of Culture and Cultural Relations Inaugurated the Workshop on “Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Exam Preparation” organised by the Pondicherry University Library on 06.12.2023. University Librarian, Officers and Staffs were present.

A Special Lecture program was conducted on 27.11.2023 – Department of Performing Arts

Prof. Gurmeet Singh, the Vice Chancellor, unveiled the first issue of the Quarterly Philosophical Magazine titled “Sapientia,” which is published by the Department of Philosophy at Pondicherry University on commemorating World Philosophy Day 16th November 2023. The release event was attended by Dr. Clement, the Dean of Humanities and Head of Department, as well as the Faculty Advisors Dr. B. R. Shantha Kumari and Dr. S. Indira. Dr. Jonas, the Escande Chair, Dr. Velmurugan K, the Coordinator, and Kiran and George, the Editor and Designer respectively, were also present. Additionally, the event was attended by research scholars and students from the University.

The Day Care Centre & Pre-Primary School organized the Children’s Day and Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas Celebrations on 20.11.2023. Prof. Gurmeet Singh, the honourable Vice-Chancellor Cum Chairman (DCC & PPS), Pondicherry University presided over the function. On this occasion, the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the “Wall of Fame” and an Aquarium donated by Prof. Clement Sagayaradja Lourdes, Dean, School of Humanities, at the Day Care Centre. Prizes were distributed to the Children as part of the Children’s Day and Bharatiya Bhasha Diwas competitions conducted by the centre.

Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Gurmeet Singh delivered a welcome address on the interaction section. Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry & Chief Rector of Pondicherry University has interacted with newly joined students from the Schools of Social Science and International Studies.
