I am an isotope geochemist and use radiogenic isotopes as tools to understand evolution of the solid Earth through time. This has provided me opportunities to work in variety of terrains, from the oldest rocks in southern India to the tectonically active zones in Ladakh; from the continental flood basalts in western India to the ocean floor trapped in the Indo-Burmese ranges in Manipur and the Barren Island volcano in the Andaman Sea.
I have been teaching in Pondicherry University for about eighteen years now. My present teaching assignments are related to crystallography, mineralogy, isotope geology and global tectonics.
