M.Sc. Environmental Sciences

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

1. To provide students the fundamental concepts and principles of environmental settings of different ecosystems, 2. To make students aware of the importance of environment management, 3. To make students to understand the tools and techniques available for environment impact assessment and sustainability, 4. To introduce the modern tools and techniques available to monitor and restore degraded environments, 5. To prepare students to take up research and carriers in the subject.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES

Graduates understand the scientific principles behind environmental issues, including ecosystems, biogeochemical cycles, and environmental chemistry. They are trained in using scientific methods and tools to evaluate environmental impacts, pollution levels, sustainability practices, GMOs for bioremediations and more. Graduates understand environmental regulations, policies, and laws that govern environmental protection at local, national, and international levels. Students become proficient in using field equipment and data analysis software for environmental research. Students gain knowledge of environmental impact assessments (EIAs), sustainable development practices, and strategies for managing natural resources efficiently
