Dr. Vijaykumar R. serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Education, Pondicherry University. With over 20 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. Area of specialization includes Multimedia Technology, Environmental Education, Science Education
Information & Communication Technology (ICT).
Served as Regional Director/Deputy Secretary at National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi for 3 years on deputation basis under the Ministry of Education. Instrumental in participating in writing DNEP for chapter 5 and 15. Research Project funded by UGC/ICSSR/Environmental Ethics / Greening Initiatives/Environmental Accountability OER/ for about 17 Lakhs. Also worked as Deputy Coordinator of Erasmus+ Project of 60 Lakhs funded by European Commission. Instrumental in drafting ITEP curriculum Framework, Served as Nodal officer, Project Approval Board (PAB) in MHRD, Govt. of India. Screening Committee Member PMMMNMTT& PAB of Budget of all State Govt. Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Honored with the Best Teacher Award by Pondicherry University in both 2015 and 2016/ 2022 for teaching and research.
