M.B.A. International Business

The impact of rapid developments in International Business on India’s market calls for a professional approach and sensitization to International Business. MBA in International Business is a specialized program aimed at developing competent cadre of business executives to meet the growing need of training personnel in the field of International Business Management. The main academic focus is on equipping the participants with an in-depth knowledge of global business and to instill in them an urge to take up competitive challenges. The program also focuses on equipping students with knowledge and expertise in dealing with the corporate world ranging from Foreign Language, International Marketing, International Finance, Economic Analysis, International Logistics, Foreign Exchange and Cross-cultural Management to Manage Multi-National Corporations, Global Business Information systems, and Export –Import Systems. Every student shall carry out: (i) Summer Project in any leading business organization / MNCs for a period of 8 weeks during summer vacation (May & June). (ii) Undergo Internship training in international operations during the entire 3rd Semester for 2 days (Fridays & Saturdays) in all the weeks to get a hands on experience. (iii) Carry out a Final Project in any leading business organization (preferably in an MNC) for a period of 8 weeks starting from March till April. Industrial / Port Visits is a compulsory component of the Programme. Students get an opportunity to complete one semester in a Foreign University at Germany/ France/ USA under the Student Exchange Programme.

Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for Admission into MBA (International Business) Academic Requirement: Candidate should have a Bachelor’s Degree under 10+2+3 patternin any discipline with 50 percent marks from a recognized University or equivalent grade as recognized by UGC. Selection procedure: Selection will be based on Common Admission Test (CAT) entrance examination conducted by IIMs. Valid CAT score will be considered for shortlisting. Eligibility criteria for Admission into Ph.D in Management (International Business) Academic Requirement: MBA (International Business), MBA (Marketing, Finance, HR, Tourism, Systems), MIBA, M.Com, Master’s Degree in Foreign Trade, Economics and other relevant disciplines with a minimum of 55% of marks are eligible. Selection procedure: Selection will be based on the UGC NET examination. Candidates who are cleared JRF will be shortlisted for Interview.
