About
Research Area

Literary criticism is a significant field of language research. I have applied the principles of narratology inspired by the theories proposed by Michael Bhaktin. I have written 8 books based on narratology for Tamil Literary Criticism. I have applied these theories in Cilapathigaram, Tolkappiyam and Sangam Literature. I have also completed one project funded by Central Institute of Classical Tamil, Chennai on the topic of Eduthuraipiyal Nokkil Sanga Agha Padalkalin thinai Varaiyarai (Definition of Thinai Sangam Love Pertries : A Narratological Perspective). I have been awarded the Post-Doctoral Research Award by UGC to carry out the “Narratological Study of Cilapathigaram”. I have also published around 26 papers in this area of research in UGC and other reputed Journals.
