Dr. Hersch Sahay is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics, Pondicherry University. Before joining Pondicherry University in January 2022, he worked at NMIMS, Mumbai. During his four years of teaching experience, he has taught courses like Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Statistics, and Mathematical Economics to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Dr. Sahay is well versed with time series and panel data modelling using econometric packages like R, EViews, etc., and has been a resource person for numerous workshops on these topics for college students, research scholars, faculty members, officers of Indian Economic Service, and Indian Statistical Service. Apart from teaching, he is also involved in research in International Finance, Public Finance, Inflation Dynamics, Monetary Policy, etc. His research works have been published in journals, edited volumes, and print media published by Oxford University Press, Springer, The Hindu to name a few. He has also won the best paper award for his paper presented at the 3rd Annual Economics Conference organised by Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics, NMIMS, Mumbai. Dr. Hersch Sahay has consistent academic performance and won the Gold Medal for being the first rank holder at university level for the M.A. Applied Economics programme.
