I am a disaster management specialist working on real-world issues for a decade. My research area includes cutting-edge technologies like GIS, Remote Sensing, Big Data Analytics and Web-based Applications for Disaster Risk Reduction. Prior to joining Pondicherry University, I have experience in working with various State Disaster Management Authorities, National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management, Regional Integrated Multi-hazard Early Warning Systems for Africa and Asia (RIMES) and Asian Development Bank. I was a member of the technical team in the development of the Early Warning System for the State of Tamil Nadu and Odisha (India), and Cambodia.
