Santhosh Mathew did B.A.in Political Science with a silver medal from the University of Kannur; did his Masters,M.phil,Ph.D in International Relations&Politics from MahatmaGandhi University,Kottayam with Junior Research Fellowship(UGC).Prior to join Pondicherry University he was Assistant Professor in the department of Political science Payyanur college,Govt Brennen college Thalassery,Govt EKNM College Kasaragod,School of Distance Education,Kannur University.He is the author of the book’WTO,Agricultural subsidies and the media’(2012),The ICT&Social change(2015).He has presented research papers in national and international conferences,delivered invited lectures and has research papers published in reputed journals. His teaching and research interests include Contemporary international relations, comparative politics, political economy,Mass communication&media studies ,international organisations,south Asia, foreign policy and human rights. He has also an additional Masters in Mass communication and journalism with UGC-JRF.He has also guided numerous M.A and M.Phil projects and dissertations. He is a member of many academic associations and has served as member of various academic advisory committees including the senate of the Kannur and Mahatma Gandhi Universities.He is a reciepant of the Best teacher award from the Pondicherry university in four consecutive years.
