Dr. P. Senthil Kumar received his B.Tech Chemical Engineering from University of Madras (16th Rank), M.E. Environmental Engineering from Anna University Chennai (1st Rank) and Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India. He has a wide research experience in the fields of Water/Wastewater Analysis, Pollution Control Treatment Methods, Environmental Nanobiotechnology and Alternative Fuels. He has 17 years of teaching and research experience and 1 year of industrial experience. He holds one Indian Patent on “Shrimp Shell Waste into Biodegradable Grocery Bags”, 500+ International Journal Publications, 100+ book chapters and 100+ National/International Conference Publications. He also wrote one book titled “Modern Treatment Strategies for Marine Pollution” published by Elsevier. He has 27600 citations with a Google Scholar h-index of 81 along with i10 index of 430. He has been listed in Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher 2022 (Cross-Field), Top 2% Scientist reported by Elsevier and Stanford University, United States based on Scopus database for consecutive 3 years from 2020 to 2022, Ranked #3 in India among Best Scientists (Environmental Sciences) for the year 2023 from Research.com, and also received AICTE National Technical Teachers Award (NTTA 2022), Malaviya Memorial (Young Faculty) Award 2019, IEI Young Engineers Award 2017-2018, Hiyoshi Think of Ecology Award 2017, CTS Best Teacher Award and Many Young Scientist Awards. Under his guidance, 15 Ph.D. Scholars have completed their Ph.D. degree, guided 11 Post Doctoral Fellows and 8 Ph.D. scholars are currently pursuing in the various fields of environmental and chemical engineering.
