Research Area
P. Samundiswary obtained her B.Tech degree and M.Tech. degree in Electronics and
Communication Engineering from Pondicherry Engineering College affiliated to Pondicherry
University , Pondicherry, India respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree in the field of
Electronics and Communication Engineering from Puducherry Technological University (Erst while Pondicherry Engineering College ), Pondicherry, India in 2011. She has nearly
26.5 Years of teaching experience. Her areas of interest are Wireless Communication and
Networks, Computer Networks, Optical Communication and VLSI Design. She has produced
8 PhD candidates successfully and one scholar has submitted thesis recently under her guidance. Currently, she is guiding 6 research scholars under her supervision. She has guided nearly 85 M.Tech. Projects, so far. She has published nearly 180 papers in National and International Conference Proceedings and Journals. She has been one of the authors of the two books published by LAMBERT Academic Publishing, Germany. Also, she has co-authored ten book chapters published by INTECH and Springer Publishers. She has successfully completed one MRP funded by UGC for worth of amount Rs. 13,58,800/- . She has organised several workshops, seminars, FDP and students’ technical symposium. She has received Best Teacher Award thrice in the Department of Electronics Engineering from Pondicherry University in the academic year 2010-2011, 2011-2012 and 2018-2019. Her biography is included in the Biography of Who’s Who in the world of Marquis Publication in the year 2015. She is a recipient of Best Woman Researcher in Science and Technology Award obtained from JNTU Kakinada in the year 2020. Moreover, she has been member in the PG Board of Studies for the various departments of Pondicherry University and also she is currently being one of the members in the UG Board of Studies for various departments offered by affiliated colleges of Pondicherry University and also in autonomous institutions. She is a member of various professional societies like ISTE and IACSIT and senior member of IEEE.
