Research Area
Prof. P. Natarajan is working as Professor in this University since 2006. He possesses rich teaching experience of 36 years (3 years at UG level and 33 years in Post Graduate teaching and research at University level. As far as his research experience is concerned he has successfully guided 60 M.Phil scholars and supervised 24 Ph.D candidates. Presently 6 Ph.D Scholars are under his supervision and guidance. Around 540 M.Com and MBA students research projects has been guided by him. He has Published 124 Research papers in Peer Reviewed National and International Journals and a few in leading English dailies. He possesses H-Index of 10 and i10 index of 10 with total citations of 475. He possesses the Research Gate(RG) Citations of 797, H Index of 15 and RG RIS pf 452.7. He is serving as an Examiner for UPSC civil service examination, NACC Peer team member and Member Co-ordinator since 2011. His academic outreach is visible by his membership in various special Committees viz., Academic Performance Committee, Advisory Committee – Academic Staff College, Library Committee, Chief Superintendent for the conduct of DD E Examinations Flying Squad Chairman, Pondicherry University, University Nominee in the Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Pondicherry Government, Member, Steering Committee for SLAS, Pondicherry, Chairman Board of Studies in Commerce and Selection Committee member as subject expert and as VC nominee in the faculty selection and Principal’s selection in affiliated colleges of neighboring Universities.
Besides, he has few Awards and Achievements 1. Holy Faith Award, Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam, 1983 2. Best NSS Officer Award, Alagappa University, 2005 3. UWA Lifetime Achievement Award by United Writers Association in the year 2006 4. Received Best Teacher Award for the year 2021-22 from Pondicherry University. 5. Received Distinguished Alumnus Award from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu during Sep 2022. 6. Change Maker Award – “Making India Employable” by Indian Education Society and Indian Employers’ Society’ in 2024.
