About
Research Area

I have been teaching media and communication studies for two decades now. I joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronic Media and Mass Communication in 2009. Prior to that, I worked as subeditor in The New Indian Express and later as senior subeditor in The Hindu, two leading English dailies in India. I also worked in the e-learning domain as Senior Instructional Designer and Content Head in IT firms. My areas of interest include digital cultures, digital journalism, algorithmic bias, and affect, subjectivities and technologies. I am also editing an online open-access journal “Communication and Culture Review”.
