Prof. D. Lazar is a faculty in School of Management, Pondicherry University for the last one decade after serving Loyola College, Chennai. He is a qualified Cost Accountant with a professional diploma in Management and a recipient of the best researcher award for research in the area of Social Science. He worked in Bhutan under TCS of Colombo Plan on deputation by Government of India. Organized four International Conferences on Micro Finance. He has published thirty-five research articles, six edited volumes and nine monographs. He had delivered invited lectures in various Universities in USA, Mexico and visited Italy and Germany.

Dr. D. Lazar is a distinguished Professor of Finance with expertise in Corporate Finance, Financial Economics, Cost Management, and Business Analytics. He combines a rich academic background with practical expertise in financial data analysis using tools like R Programming, SPSS, and EViews. Dr. Lazar has published 46 research articles, managed research projects worth ₹3.5M, and mentored 8 doctoral scholars. His research spans Financial Stability, Financial Inclusion, Health Finance, and Portfolio Management, with a focus on the integration of big data analytics into financial systems.
