Brief profile of Dr. Byram Anand
Dr. Byram Anand is a professor of Marketing, Retail Management, Entrepreneurship Development, Operations Management Services marketing, Insurance Laws and regulations and Liability Insurance and quality Management. He also serves as a Placement coordinator for the Department of Management at Karaikal campus and warden for Netaji Subash Chandrabose Boys Hostel at Karaikal campus. His academic qualifications are B. Tech in Civil Engineering, MBA (Marketing Management), and Ph.D. in Management, Qualified UGC -NET New Delhi and his additional Qualifications are PG Diploma in computer applications, PG Diploma in Applied Operations Research, PG Diploma in Softer ware Based Statistical Analysis.
He has completed four certificate courses from MOOC -SWAYAM -NEPTEL, Entrepreneurship and New Venture Management, Certified Lean six sigma Gren Belt from MSME-TDC Chennai, PMP-PMI project management certificate from MSMS-Agra and currently pursuing Six months online course on Advanced Diploma in Business consultancy conducted by AIMA, New Delhi
Professor Byram Anand has 25 years of teaching experience. He has published 102 research publications with a citation index of 505, h-index of 11 and i10 -index of 13. Published 34 chapters in the edited volume books, published 6 Books, published 14 papers in conference proceedings. To his credit, he got one patent awarded, one patent published, and another patent registered. He has written a course material for Kakatiya University SDLCE Distance education.
He has produced eight Ph. Ds, evaluated nearly 25 Ph. Ds thesies of other universities and completed one minor project funded by UGC, New Delhi.
He has organised two national seminars and one National workshop. He has been a resource person in UGC -HRDC and chaired sessions in programmes organised by universities and institutions in south India and abroad
He is serving as a Board of Studies member for the Department of Insurance Management of Pondicherry University. He is a life member in the professional bodies like All Indian Management Association (AIMA) New Delhi, ALL India Commerce Association (ICA), New Delhi and Telangana Economic Association (TEA), Hyderabad
