Dr. Agilan Balupillai

About
Research Area

I received Ph.D. from the Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Annamalai University, India, and pursued postdoctoral fellowships at Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore, India, offered by DSK-UGC Scheme. Also, I visited at Hospital of Maisonneuve Rosemont, affiliated with the University of Montreal, Montreal, Canada, for a postdoctoral fellowship. I have published over 37 research articles in highly regarded peer-reviewed journals. My research expertise lies in UV radiation-induced skin inflammation, photoaging, and skin cancer, along with their therapeutic interventions. Currently, my work focuses on identifying novel genes involved in regulating multidrug resistance pathways in cancer cells.
