Prof. P. Prakash Babu, Vice-Chancellor, Pondicherry University, Puducherry made a courtesy call on Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister for Education at New Delhi on the 17th April 2025. (Today) Prof. P. Prakash Babu appraised on various developments and academic activities in the University and affiliated colleges and its campuses and also requested for Hon’ble Education Minister’s support, advice and possible visit to Pondicherry University. It is pertinent to note that Hon’ble President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, as the Visitor of Pondicherry University, recently appointed Professor Phanithi Prakash Babu as the Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University by exercising her authority under Statute 1(A) of Pondicherry University Act, 1985. Accordingly, Professor Phanithi Prakash Babu assumed charge as the Vice-Chancellor of Pondicherry University, Puducherry, on 17th March 2025.
