The Department of Library and Information Science successfully hosted a two-day workshop on “Accessible eBook Production for Persons with Print Disabilities” on February 4-5, 2026. inaugurated by Prof. R. Sevukan, Dean of the School of Media and Communication, emphasized digital inclusivity and the university’s commitment to accessibility.  Prof. Rekha R. V., Head of the Department, coordinated and detailed about the the importance of creating awareness and providing systematic training on accessible content creation, the event trained 48 participants in creating accessible eBooks for those with print disabilities. A highlight was the expert session by Mr. G. Kumaresan from Bookshare, offering insights into equitable information access. The workshop underscored the importance of awareness and practical skills in inclusive content creation.
