Dr. Rakhi V. Darne, Head Physiotherapist of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, visited the Centre for Women’s Studies, Pondicherry University for an interactive session on women in sports. The session, held from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., was attended by students, research scholars, and faculty members.

During the session, she shared valuable insights and experiences from her extensive career, emphasizing goal setting, perseverance, discipline, and teamwork as essential keys to success. Dr. Darne also highlighted her role in supporting India’s achievements, including the landmark victory at the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025, where the Indian team made history by winning their first-ever World Cup, inspiring a new generation of women athletes.

Her talk provided an inspiring perspective on the challenges and triumphs faced by women in sports, underscoring the importance of physical fitness, mental resilience, and collaborative effort in reaching peak performance.

The session concluded with a felicitation by the Head of the Centre, a vote of thanks, and a group photograph, marking an enriching and motivational experience for all participants.
